This variety produces straight, slender roots that can reach up to 5-6 inches in length. The deep purple skin of the Cylindra beet contrasts beautifully with its vibrant, sweet-tasting flesh. Its cylindrical shape allows for easy slicing and uniform cooking. This beetroot never goes ‘woody,’ maintaining their sweetness and tenderness. Also known as the “Butter Slicer” because of its superb texture and easy slicing. A Danish heirloom.
